Poles choose the mountains for the May weekend
The most popular destination will be the Lower Silesia Province, which is related to as much as a quarter of all inquiries. The second place was taken by the Małopolskie Voivodeship – slightly over 20 percent. of inquiries – and then Pomeranian (15 percent of inquiries) and West Pomeranian (10 percent).

Only in fifth place appears the first Pomeranian city, i.e. Gdańsk, which accounts for less than 3 percent. inquiries.
The voivodeships of Opolskie, Lubelskie and Łódzkie are the least popular among tourists. However, in the case of the latter, we can still speak of a large increase in popularity – the number of inquiries for accommodation in this region in the first quarter of 2022 compared to the same period last year increased by as much as 106%.
The interest in trips to places in the Mazowieckie voivodship increased the most – by 205%.
However, in terms of the number of inquiries about accommodation during the upcoming May weekend, it ranks eleventh, and no city in Mazowieckie was among the twenty most frequently searched accommodation places by tourists.
Almost half planning a three-day stay
According to current forecasts, the weather during the upcoming May weekend will be rather average, it will not be very warm, rain is possible.
These are not particularly attractive conditions for lying on the beach or swimming – and that is why tourists usually go to the seaside. It is also not surprising that there is very little interest in accommodation outdoors. Only 0.1 percent were looking for overnight stays on campsites. users, and one person was interested in the camping site.
Interestingly, although May 1 this year falls on Sunday, which allows the May weekend to be extended to four days, most people are looking for accommodation for a three-day trip.

Indeed, according to Nocowanie.pl data, as much as 44 percent of people are planning a trip for three days, and only 22.5 percent for four days. 21 percent are interested in a two-day stay. tourists.
Almost one third of all people interested in a May trip look for accommodation offers for two adults, only 13 percent. The inquiries concern two adults with one child, and almost the same number of adults with two children.
By far the most popular among travellers are lodgings and rooms, which concern 34%. all inquiries. As much as 25 percent inquiries concern houses, and less than 20 percent. apartments.
Definitely less than 10 percent. inquiries apply to boarding houses, agritourism farms, villas and holiday resorts. Few people are looking for hotels and SPAs – less than 2 percent in total. Less than 1 percent is interested in hostels.
